Tonight's update features several new galleries along with updates to some existing ones. First off, I've updated the Littlefield Panther Restoration with 15 new pictures. Next, I added a 67 picture update to the T-62 gallery. Rounding off the gallery updates, I added 2 pics to the M578 and 4 pics to the M1 Super Sherman galleries. New galleries feature 9 pics of a M998 HMMWV and 8 pics of a M1037 with S250 Shelter. The final new gallery features 36 pics of a Philippine Armored Escort Vehicle Mk. 2 Prototype. These pics are courtesy of Oliver Sia. Thanks Oliver! I should have another update posted in 7-10 days.

A quick update for today that features 85 pictures of the only surviving T14 Assault Tank. They are courtesy of my latest photo donor, Eric Rains. Thanks Eric! More of Eric's pictures will be posted in the coming weeks. I'll have new photos posted in a couple of days.

Four new galleries have been added today. First up is a 42 picture gallery of a GTB Truck 1 1/2 ton 4x4 Ford "Burma Jeep" undergoing some repairs. Next up is a 116 pic gallery of a M667 Lance Missile Transporter. The next two galleries come from the newest contributor to Toadman's Tank Pictures, Oliver Sia of the Philippines. The first gallery from Oliver features 25 pics of a V150 Stretched Turbo. This is followed by 49 pics of a V300. Thanks Oliver!! During the next several weeks, more of Oliver's many pics of Philippine Armed Forces vehicles will be posted here.

Time for a new update! I've added 5 new galleries today. First off is a 74 picture gallery of a M9 Trailer. Next Joe D. is back with 90 pics of a recently found M4A3E2 Assault Tank. I will be posting additional pics of it at a later date. Next, Pat Brown is back with 3 new galleries. First is a 22 picture of a BVP M-80A. This is followed by a 74 picture set of Type 74 MBT's at Camp Iwate. And finally, a 23 pictures of a Type 87 Sky Shooter. I'll be posting a new update in a few days.

I've updated one existing and added two new galleries today. First, I've updated the M37 105mm HMC page with 14 new pictures. Next, I've added a 25 picture gallery of a M55 Self-Propelled 8-inch Howitzer. The third new gallery features 109 pics taken by Joe D. of a M51 VTR. Thanks Joe! I've also updated the M4A3E2 Cobra King page with a link to it's ongoing restoration at Ft.Knox. I'll have another small update in a few days.

I have a pretty good sized update for you tonight including 7 new galleries. First, Pat Brown is back with 38 pics of a Churchill Crocodile. Thanks Pat! Chris Bowman returns with 34 pics of a Churchill AVLB. Thanks Chris! Joe D. presents 6 pics of a Abrams Breeching Vehicle. Thanks Joe! There'll be plenty more from Chris, Pat, and Joe in the next few weeks. I've also added 12 pics of a Conqueror and 51 pics of a M106A1. The other 2 new galleries are part of my new Parades and Military Vehicle Events Gallery. First, 14 pics of the Morgan Hill, CA 4th of July Parade. This is followed by 52 pics of the end of the MVPA Cross Country Convoy on 8JUL09. And finally, I've added an "unofficial" news page for the Military Vehicle Technology Foundation. On this page, I'll post updates, articles, etc. about the Foundation as they become available.

I've updated one gallery and added three new ones tonight! The Littlefield Panther Restoration has 5 new pictures added to. Don't forget to check the MVTF website for updates about when the Panther will venture to its new home in the museum. The next gallery features 36 pics of a Australian Cruiser Tank AC 1 Sentinel. Next, Joe_D is back with 52 pics of one of the M1 Abrams Pilot Vehicles. Thanks Joe! And to round things out, Pat Brown gives us 24 pics of a M113A3. Thanks Pat! I'll be attending a couple of military vehicle events during the next week or so. Hopefully, I will be able to bring you pics from these events in about 10 days or so.

I've added three new galleries tonight. 7 pictures of a Buffalo MRAP in Iraq are brought to us by Joe_D. Joe sent me about 500 other photos during the past 2 weeks so I will endeavour to get them posted as soon as I can. Thanks Joe!! Pat Brown is back with 2 more galleries of JGSDF armor. The first has 28 pics of a Type 74 MBT. The second consists of 10 pics of a Type 75 130mm MRL. Thanks Pat!! I've also updated my REVIEWS page with links to the kit and book reviews that I've posted on Armorama. Look for a new update later next weekend!!

Wow! It's been awhile since my last update. Hopefully, I won't go so long between updates during the next few months. Four new galleries have been added tonight. First is a 56 picture set of a M4A3(75)Early Production w/direct vision slots. Next, 7 pics of a M4 Sherman High Bustle Turret. Just in time for the new 155mm Howitzer kit, Mark Lopiccola is back with 19 pics of a 155mm Howitzer M198. And finally, Pat Brown returns with 21 pics of a JGSDF Type 61. We'll be seeing more JGSDF stuff from Pat in the upcoming weeks.

Four new galleries have been added today. First, Chris Bowman has provided us with 40 pics of a Churchill 6.5 AVRE. Thanks Chris! Next, Brian Culbertson sent in 35 pics of a pair of M561 Gamma Goats. Thanks Brian! Third up, new contributor Mark Lopiccola sent in 9 pics of a RG-31 Mk5E MRAP. Thanks Mark! And finally, I received pics from another new contributor, Pat Brown. This set from Pat features 28 pics of a BTR-50PK. Thanks Pat! More pics from Mark and Pat will be posted in the very near future. Look for my next update in several days. It will feature several new Sherman galleries and some other pics that are timely based on some of the new kit releases.

I've posted a small update tonight featuring 5 new galleries. All of these photos have been kindly provided by Walter Magness. First is a 14 picture set of a M48A5 AVLB. During the past several weeks I've received photos from 3 new donors. Tonight's update features 4 new galleries from these folks. The first gallery is from Chris Bowman of the U.K. and is the one of several sets of photos taken by him that will be posted in the next couple of weeks. It features 17 pics of an Achilles IIC. Thanks Chris! Next, Brian Culbertson of the U.S.A. provided 37 pics of a M4 High Speed Tractor. Thanks Brian! The other two galleries come from Walter Magness in Northern California. Walter gave me a couple of hundred 35mm prints to scan and post here. Included are pics from the early days at Jacques Littlefield's MVTF, Ft. Hood, Camp Roberts and other places. I've just barely started scanning them and have posted 10 pics of a M728 CEV and 7 pics of a M88. THANKS WALTER!!

This is followed by two galleries in the new MUSEUM GALLERY page. Tonight's featured museums are The Camp Roberts Historical Museum and the Veterans Memorial Museum California Central Coast. Tonight, I've added 1 new gallery and updated 2 older ones. In the new gallery, there are 26 pictures of a CVR(T) Striker. I added 14 pics to the FV433 Abbot 105mm Gun gallery and 31 pics to the Leopard 1A4 gallery. Look for another update during the first weekend of March!

I finally managed load some new pics today. Three new galleries have been added along with an update to an existing one. First, I've added 60 pics of a Heavy Wrecking Truck M1A1. Next is 47 pics of a FV438 Swingfire. Third up is a 55 picture gallery of a AMX-13. And finally, I've added 5 new pics to the Littlefield M4A3E2 Jumbo Restoration Gallery. Look for another update later this week as I still have lots of pics to add.

JACQUES LITTLEFIELD 1949-2009

Jacques Littlefield who was the friend to all in the military vehicle collector and armor modeller communites died Wednesday, 7 January 2009 after a long fight with cancer. He was 59 years old. Jacques was dedicated to the collection of and preservation of military vehicles. Through the tireless work of him and his staff, many pieces have military history have been saved. Jacques was always happy to answer questions about his collection. He was always full of enthusiasm and knowledge about his vehicles and pretty much all things mechanical.
On a personal level, Jacques allowed me to photograph nearly his entire collection during the past 5 or so years. He was always very friendly to me during my visits and quite helpful. Jacques was just really a great guy!! When I'd bring my 8 year daughter along, he'd talk to her more than me!! We were both very saddened by his death.
I'm very honored to have had the opportunity to talk to him on many occasions. And I am more than thrilled that he was able to read the book on his A34 Comet that I shot all of the photographs for. The last conversation I had with him in early December 2008 was about the book and how much he liked it. That is something that I won't forget!
I owe Jacques a debt of gratitude that can never be repaid!! Without him allowing me to take all of the pictures I have of his collection, my website, photo CD's and upcoming books would not exist!! Thank you Jacques for everything!! You will be missed by me and so many others. R.I.P.

Next SGT Brian Stigall provided 28 pics of COBRA KING, the M4A3E2 Assault Tank that led the relief of Bastogne. SGT Stigall and his crew are starting to restore this tank. Tonight's update feature 1 new and 1 updated gallery. Updated with 98 new pictures is the 90mm Self-Propelled Gun M56. The new gallery features 112 pics of a 6x6 10-ton Tractor Truck M123A1C. I've also updated The Hanger with pics of a P-39N Airacobra, P-47D Thunderbolt, and a pair of FM-2 Wildcats. I hope to add new pictures next week that will include scans of some pictures I took in the late 1980's/early 1990's.

Tonight's update features new photos being added to 5 existing galleries. First off, I've added 7 pics to the Sherman Jumbo restoration page. Next, 13 pics have been added to the M3 75mm GMC restoration. A fifth gallery page containing 30 photos has been added to the Littlefield Panther Ausf. A restoration gallery. The Churchill Toad gallery receives 28 new pictures while the SCUD B gallery sees an additional 58 pictures added to it. I'd also like to thank Thord Wedman regarding the Strv M/42. Thanks to his information, the page has now been updated to the correct name of IKV 73. Thanks Thord!

It's been awhile since my last update as I was on vacation in Kauai for 10 fantastic days in October. If you haven't been there yet, I highly recommend it. And yes, there are tanks there too!! Now, on with the update!
Four new galleries have been added tonight. The first one has 13 pics of a M5A1 Stuart located on Kauai. Next, 12 pics of a LVT4 that is also located on Kauai. Back on the mainland, 79 pics of a 6x6 5-Ton Wrecker M62 and 112 pics of a 1S12 Radar "Long-Track" were taken at Jacques Littlefield's MVTF. I've also updated the FUTURE CD RELEASE and About Me pages.
Later this week, I'll have updates on the Panther Ausf. A, M4A3E2 Jumbo, and M3 75mm Gun Motor Carriage restorations.

I hope to have another update early next week. UPDATE 01SEPTEMBER07 I hope everyone who attended the '07 IPMS U.S.A. Nationals had a good time last week. I sure did! I met lots of good people and saw a helluva lot of good kits on the tables. Amazingly, I didn't buy a damn thing in the vendor room(sorry folks). Parking was a bit steep but that's okay. Tonight's update includes one new gallery and an update of an existing one. The new gallery consists of 38 pics of a 40mm Automatic Gun M1 and is just in time for the new, if overpriced Italeri kit. The other is an 8 picture update to the Littlefield M4A3E2 Sherman "Jumbo" restoration gallery. I'll have another update later this week as I took about 380 pics last weekend that I still have to go through. UPDATE 20AUGUST07 A quick update today. First off, I've added 5 new pics to the Littlefield M4A3E2 Jumbo restoration. Next, is a 25 picture gallery of a Carriage M1 for 155mm Gun M1A1/M59 Long Tom. I'll have another update late next week. UPDATE 17AUGUST07 Today's photo update features three new galleries. The first features 14 pics of a WC-51 3/4 ton 4x4 truck. Next is an 18 picture gallery of a WC-56 3/4 ton 4x4 Command and Reconnaissance Truck. And finally, an 11 picture gallery of a WC-63 1 1/2 ton 6x6 truck. That's it for now. I hope to post another update before the Nats. Otherwise, I'll have one the week after. UPDATE 23JULY07 UPDATE 31MAY07 Tonight's update includes three new galleries and updates in two existing ones. I've added an 8 picture gallery of a Daimler Mk. II Armored Car. Next, is a 27 picture gallery of a M4A3(75)Dry Stowage Sherman. And finally, I've added a 13 picture gallery of a Abbot 105mm SP Gun. The two existing galleries that have been updated include 10 new pictures in the Crusader Mk. II gallery and 6 new engine compartment pictures of the PzKpfw I Ausf. A. Hopefully, I'll be able to do another update in 7-10 days. UPDATE 18MAY07 Today's update includes several new galleries from Iraq. The first gallery has 22 pics of M113A3's with Bar Armor. Next are 14 pics of various M1114 Up-Armored HMMWV's. The third gallery has 6 pics of M88A2's. Finally, not taken in Iraq, is a 67 picture gallery of a M60A1 AVLB. This M60A1 AVLB originally started off life as a M60A2!. That's all I have for today. I hope to have another update, including more stuff from Iraq, in the next 7-10 days. UPDATE 13MAY07 Tonight I've updated two older galleries and added a new one. First, I've updated the M3 Lee gallery with 28 new pictures. Next, I've updated the M4A3E2 Jumbo Restoration gallery with 4 new pics. Finally, I've added a new 36 picture gallery covering the 75mm Field Gun M1897A4. I hope to have another update later this week with some more pics from Iraq. UPDATE 24APR07 Just a quick update tonight. Someone asked for ex-Yugoslavian M36 Tank Destroyer pics so I went ahead and updated that gallery with 100+ additional pics of one. They can be found HERE. I've also updated the Future CD Release page as well. I'll have another update later this coming weekend. UPDATE 21APR07 Lots of good stuff in today's update! First, I'd like to thank the anonymous donor who has sent me a batch of photos shot during his tour in Iraq, some of which I've posted today. They include the following: 12 pics of various Bradleys; 31 pics of various M1A1 and M1A2 Abrams; and 35 pics of various Strykers. More pics from Iraq to follow soon. I've also added the last 8 pics of M51 muzzle brake measurements for those who have been waiting. UPDATE 27MAR07 Toadman's Tank Pictures would like to welcome a new photo contributor, Alan McNeilly of the U.K. Alan sent me some pics that he recently took at the Imperial War Museum. Some of these pictures have been loaded for tonight's update. The first new gallery consists of 26 pics of a M3 Grant. Gallery #2 feature 38 pics of a Sherman V. The third and final gallery for tonight has 11 pics of a Daimler Mk. I armored car. Thanks Alan!! BTW, I'm not sure what mark the Grant is. If anyone could let me know, I'd appreciate it. UPDATE 21MAR07 Two new galleries tonight plus a couple of other updates. First off, is a 41 picture gallery featuring a M3A1 Scout Car. The other is a 65 picture gallery of an M51 Sherman. This gallery also includes some preliminary measurements of the muzzle brake. Apparently, the muzzle brake in the latest kit of this tank is too small. Hopefully these pictures will help you decide. I hope to have further measurements in 2-3 weeks. I've also updated my FUTURE CD RELEASEpage. UPDATE 05FEB07 Today brings two new and one updated gallery. The first new one consists of 27 pics of a Type 97 Ha-Go. The second new one has 25 pics of a 75mm Pack Howitzer M1A1 and Carriage M8. The updated gallery has 69 pics of a Type 97 Tankette. I've also updated my COMMENTARY page regarding DML's unauthorized use of my M4A3(76)HVSS and Scott Taylor's M4A2 photos. UPDATE 14JAN07 It's COLD WAR day at Toadman's Tank Pictures! Today's update features three new galleries. The first has 69 pics of a M59 APC. The second features 173 pictures of a T-54. Please let me know if it is a T54A or B. I hope everyone had a pleasant holiday season. Tonight's update features new pics added to a pair of existing galleries. The first set consists of 5 new pics added to the 2-pounder Mk II gallery while the other features 31 more pics added to the Crusader Mk II gallery. I should have another update in 5-7 days, maybe sooner if life permits. UPDATE 12/10/06 Okay! I guess it would be an understatement to say that it has been a very wild week in the online afv modelling world due to some events that started last Monday. I want to say THANK YOU to all of those who have supported me either online or thru the many emails I have received. I also want to thank all of those who participated on the various forums, no matter what your position was. Overall, the responses appeared to be well thought out and things really didn't degenerate into a giant peeing contest like so many other hot topics have. Finally, I want to thank the various site owners and moderators for allowing the debates to happen on your sites. Anyway, I feel that it is time to get things back to normal. I will still fight my battle but it'll be done elsewhere. Last week's update and my feelings towards a certain model company can be found on my new Commentary page. The next gallery contains 6 pictures of the PzKpfw III Ausf. F at Ft. Knox. These were sent to me by Michael Green. With the PzKpfw III pics, Mike also sent me some pics of the 2006 Armor Symposium at Ft. Knox and the Iranian M4A3(105)HVSS Sherman. Finally, I've added a 35 picture Ferret Mk 2 gallery. Damn! It's been awhile since my last photo update. Too much stuff has been going on at home and at work. The past 2 weeks has seen my house suffer $2000 damage in the kitchen due to a plumbing leak. What a pain in the arse!! Anyway, I've managed to add three new galleries tonight plus update one of the favorites. First off, I've added 10 new pictures to the Littlefield Panther Ausf. A restoration gallery. Next, I've posted a 37 picture gallery of a Krupp Protze.
In the NATO section, I've added two new galleries. The first one contains 8 pictures of a couple of beat up M551 Sheridans. The other gallery has 52 pictures of a Saracen APC.
I've also added an Archives page so you can check back to view previous updates. Finally, I've fixed some broken/missing links within the site that I have found.

Thankfully, the situation listed below has been taken care of. "Uk-bears" has voluntarily removed the offending auctions and has agreed to compensate me for my troubles! I received many favorable emails and responses to my forum postings regarding this unfortunate problem. I'd like to thank all of you for your support in this matter! Hopefully, I won't run into this again and I can concentrate on posting new pictures and completing more photo CD's. I'll try and post a new photo update next week. And yes, I'm still working on the M7 HMC series CD.

No new photos today. However, I have an eBay scammer to report on! The eBay seller "uk-bears" is selling unauthorized copies of five of my photo CD-roms. His bootlegs include the T-34, A34 Comet, Sherman, German Anti-Tank Guns, and StuG III Ausf. G CD's. Please do not purchase any of the above CD's from him. Other than my website and my eBay sales i.d., "tankpictures", the only authorized online dealer of my CD's is Wings n Treads webstore and I don't think he even has any left. I have contacted eBay about this matter. Hopefully they will be able to resolve it quickly. I'll post some new pics in 5-7 days.
